Arthur Van Blerkom, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, of kidney failure.
He was born to the late Leopold and Harriet Van Blerkom in Bronx, N.Y. Arthur was an avid bridge player and a lifelong fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and the New York Mets.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence; his brother, Richard; his daughter-in-law, Ceci; and his two grandchildren, Harvey and Ivy.
Graveside services will be held today, Sunday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m., at Beth Israel Cemetery,Woodbridge, N.J. In lieu of "owers, please consider a donation to IBC Network Foundation.

ObituaryJoan (Wasserman) Geltman Van Blerkom died on Monday, April 13, 2015, at Morristown Medical Center. She was 78. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. at B'nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union, N.J., under the direction of Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick, N.J. (www.msmc.us)
Born in Newark, N.J., Mrs. Van Blerkom resided in Springfield, N.J., before moving to Monroe Township, N.J., 19 years ago.
She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Rothenberg. Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Arthur Van Blerkom; two sons, Steven Geltman and his wife, Patricia, of Wayne, Pa., and David Geltman and his wife, Robin, of Syosset, N.Y.; a stepson, Lawrence Van Blerkom and his wife, Ceci, of Manhattan, N.Y., and stepdaughter, Rhonda Van Blerkom of Edison, N.J.; her brother, Dr. Harold Wasserman and his wife, Selma, of Westfield, N.J.; her sister, Ina Giardina and her husband, Richard, of Cranford, N.J.; four grandchildren, Lilli, Izabella, Hailey and Taylor Geltman, and two step-grandchildren, Harvey and Ivy Van Blerkom.
