ObituaryFrieda Van Blaricom Lansing Age 81, passed away with her family by her side at Sparrow Hospital on March 1, 2009. She was born on September 11, 1927 in Lansing, the daughter of Henry and Augusta (Gertz) Ziesman.
Frieda was a life-long member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Prime-Timers. She retired from First of America Bank in 1989 after over 30 years of service. She enjoyed reading, trips to Mt. Pleasant and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Warren F. Van Blaricom and 3 sisters and 1 brother. Surviving are her children, Tom (Lori) Van Blaricom, Linda Van Blaricom and Robin (Randy Cranmer) Shadduck; grandchildren, Kae (Mike) Buck, Kelle (Jim) Shaw, Chris (Charissa) Shadduck, Casey (Eric) Ozanich, and Kim Van Blaricom; brother, Edward (Ruth) Ziesman; sister-in-law, Joyce Oliver; brother-in-law, Paul Van Blaricom, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol, Lansing, with the Rev. Paul J. Lindloff and the Rev. Timothy H. Buelow officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
