OverlijdensberichtSept. 28, 1937 - Oct. 11, 2013 PLYMOUTH - Raymond P. Van Blaricom, 76, of Plymouth, passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013.
The son of Ted and Esther (Sutherland) Van Blaricom, Raymond was born Sept. 28, 1937 in Plymouth. He attended Tyner High School. On Nov. 24, 1955, Raymond married Dora A. Van Blaricom in Plymouth. Ray worked for Bomarko for five years and then for United Technology for nine years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed traveling and doing all sorts of yard work. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Ray was a member of the House of the Lord in Plymouth and recently began attending the Community Church of God in LaPaz.
He is survived by his wife, and their four children, his mother, and 18 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, his son Jeffrey A. Van Blaricom Sr., his grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Van Blaricom Jr. and April Dawn Boyd, and his sister, Eldora Mann.
Visitation will be from 2 - 4 p.m. and resume from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at the Community Church of God, 601 S. Michigan St., LaPaz, IN 46537, officiated by Chaplain Tom Padberg. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the family or to the Center for Hospice Care 112 S. OverlijdensberichtPLYMOUTH - Dora A. VanBlaricom, 77, of 4th Road and lifetime Plymouth resident, passed away in her home surrounded by her family at 8:10 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016.
Dora was born in Plymouth on May 13, 1939, to Cecil and Anges (Luse) Dixon. On November 24, 1955, in Plymouth, Dora became the wife of Raymond P. VanBlaricom Sr. He would precede her in death on October 11, 2013. A caring housewife and devoted mother, Dora and Ray raised their four children. She enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Dora was a member of the House of the Lord in Plymouth, where she would volunteer to do yard work.
She is survived by her three children: Ray VanBlaricom Jr. of Plymouth, Donald VanBlaricom of Plymouth, Pamela L. (Kevin) Fleck of Lapaz; 21 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; siblings, Richard Dixon, Joyce Arndt, Jim and Amy Dixon. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jeffrey A. VanBlaricom Sr., grandchildren, Jeffrey A. VanBlaricom Jr. and April Dawn Boyd, siblings, Jack Dixon, Joe Dixon, and Sandra Miller.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2016, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 North Michigan Street, Plymouth. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 20, 2016, in the funeral home, with Pastor Stephen Patrick officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, Center for Hospice Care, 112 South Center Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563; or to the Community Church of God, 601 South Michigan Street, LaPaz, Indiana 46537.
