OverlijdensberichtAudrey Lynn VanBlaricum, 81, of Noble, passed away from this life and welcomed home by Jesus her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Carle RMH in Olney. She was born on August 16, 1936 in Richland County and was the daughter of Arthur Lee and Lora Emma (Zerkle) Trowbridge. She married Joseph Arthur Gibson on July 4, 1953, who preceded her in death on April 6, 1957. She married Leon VanBlaricum on October 22, 1970 who also preceded her in death on August 10, 2011.
Audrey was raised on a farm north of Noble in the Freedom community where she attended elementary school and was an active lifelong member of Freedom Baptist Church, while her health allowed. She was proud of her family history and their involvement at Freedom Baptist Church. Delivering Memorial Day flowers with her included extensive lessons in family history and genealogy.
Her passions included bird watching, gardening, and flowers. She loved singing Bible songs - her favorite song was Amazing Grace. She also loved reading to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and giving her own handmade quilting and crocheting projects as baby gifts. She was a farm wife who was very supportive of her children’s many interests including music, sports, and 4-H.
Audrey is survived by a large family - her son Joe Gibson and his wife DeeAnna of Midland, Texas; her daughter Debra Eastin and her husband Casey of Flora; daughter Rebecca Schnautz and her husband Larry Lee of Clay City; stepson Kenneth VanBlaricum and his wife Lyndal of Noble; stepson Brian VanBlaricum and his wife Carol of Noble; stepdaughter Vanna Carlyle and her husband Don of Noble; and stepdaughter-in-law Nancy VanBlaricum of Noble. Also surviving are her granddaughter Lora, her husband Joe Dean and their daughter Hannah of Mascoutah; grandson Aaron Eastin, his wife Kindal Eastin and their children Audrey and Rhett, of Olney; grandson Jay Carter, his wife Melissa and their children Emma and Ian of Liberty, Missouri step-grandchildren, Jason Carlyle, his wife Ann and their children Emma, Ava, and Henry, of Chicago; Morgan Fehrenbacher, her husband Steven and their children Oliver, Hazel, and Opal, of Noble; Brandon VanBlaricum, his wife Sallie and their daughters Carlie and Brooklyn; Ashley Carson, her husband Justin and their children Will, Conner, and Addie of Cisne; Jill Prosser, her husband Danny and their children Logan, Jackson, and Kendal, of Noble; Jared VanBlaricum, his wife Nicole and their children Dillon and Nora, of Olney; Lauren Rennier and her husband Craig of Noble; Katie Bailey and her husband Brandon Bailey of Noble; Beau VanBlaricum of Charleston; Brock VanBlaricum of Noble; Aimee Morris and her children, Devin and Akaylah, of Dallas, Texas; Lindsey Cook, her husband David and their children Karston and AvaGrace, of Midland, Texas; Desiree Morris and her son Camran Rock, of Midland, Texas; Cindy Jane (Allen) Ayers and their children James Derek (Kali) Mainer, Lindsey Mainer; Brothers-in-law, Jim Gibson and Dave Gibson, Sisters-in-law, Ruth and Bob Travous, Mary Gibson, Kathy Gibson, Jan Burroughs.
Preceding her in death and anxiously awaiting her entrance into heaven were her parents, two husbands, her brother Clarna Ervin Trowbridge, her sister Doris Nadine Murry, stepson Steve VanBlaricum, father and mothers-in-law, John and Eva Gibson and Ed and Bernice VanBlaricum; brothers-in-law John Gibson, Bert Gibson, Kelly Gibson, Frank Gibson, Ray Murry, and Harold VanBlaricum; sisters-in-law Elnora Trowbridge, Eloise Gibson, Elaine Gibson, and Ruby VanBlaricum; and step-great grandson Garrett VanBlaricum.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Freedom Baptist Church with burial following in the Freedom Cemetery.
