| Overlijdensbericht | Van BLARCOM - Adolph D., age 83, died Monday, January 25, 1999 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. Born in Ridgewood, and a lifelong resident of Midland Park before moving to Preston Park, PA in 1997.
Dolph was Supervisor of Transportation for the Wyckoff Board of Education for 28 years before his retirement in 1985. He joined the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department, Community Engine Co. # 2 in 1941. Coming up through the ranks to become Deputy Chief of Co. #2 and then going on to join the Wyckoff Fire Police. A member and past president of Community Engine Co. # 2 Association, the Wyckoff Relief and Exempt Associations, the NJ and NY Firemans Association and the North Jersey Firemans Association.
Surviving is his daughter, Joyce A. Van Blarcom of Middletown, NY; two grandsons, Gerald A. Lee of Preston Park, PA and David T. Lee of Middletown, NY; a granddaughter, Ann R. Watson of Wartsboro, NY; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna L. Van Blarcom in 1994. Funeral Services will be held Saturday 9-11 AM from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Mass will follow 9:45 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Interment will be in the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visiting is Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bergen County Firemen's Home
