Gene Van Blaricom, 60, of Rockford, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
Gene was born on September 10, 1955, in Rockford, where he lived. He enjoyed the great outdoors and was an avid cook. He had a kind and generous heart. He was adored by his great-nephews.
Gene is survived by his brothers, Dave, Steve, Joel (Elizabeth); and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Wayne and Dorothy Van Blaricom; and his beloved sister, Joan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory- Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. A memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service.
